Big Gig 09

On 17th October we went to the Big Gig 2009.  We saw: Pikie Lott, Alexandra Burke, Alphabeat, the Noisettes, Taio Cruize, Chipmunk, JLS, the Saturdays and Scouting for Girls.  We think the most popular act was JLS, but our personal favourites were: JLS, Scouting for Girls, the Noisettes and Taio Cruize.  The crowd was wild.  When JLS came out we were literally deafened and when Aston introduced himself the crowd went even crazier.  The first song they sang was 'Beat Again'.  The screaming was so loud we couldn't hear them singing.  Scouting for Girls were also amazing and really got the crowd involved.  They were very entertaining and we think it was a perfect ending to a terrific night.  The Big Gig 2009, in our opinion was the best Big Gig we've attended.  In fact, I think it tops every concert we've attended.  It was quite a quick journey and when we got there everyone was so excited.  We had quite good seats, good enough to get some great pictures.  As we were having so much fun it went quickly and our throats were dry by the end.  Once it ended our ears felt really funny.  We didn't want it to end.  We feel the Gig Gig 2009 was a night we will never forget and we're sure it's not just us who feel that way.

French Adventure - Ardres

A group of Guides and Leaders from the Division went to Ardres, in France on an activity holiday, during the May holiday.  There was a variety of activities to take part in, including sailing, dragon boat racing and kayaking.

See the 'Camps and Holidays' page to view some of their antics.
