Hoo's Launch Party In September Hoo District launched their centenary year with a massive party. The evening was a great success with the girls from Hoo & their invited guests enjoying a disco, cake & fireworks. Everyone joined together at the scout hut and marquee which had been decorated with fairy lights and banners to celebrate this very special occasion. All the girls and leaders were presented with centenary neckers and badges as a special surprise before they officially launched the 100th birthday year with confetti launchers and a firework display. The Bell Ringers at Hoo St Werburgh Church rang a special Peel on the Friday evening to announce to the world something rather special was happening. The world flag was also flown from the top of the bell tower over the weekend. |
